We've been taking annual trips to Walt Disney World since 2008 and our usual vacation time is in late April/early May. We decided in 2010 (after already taking our May trip) to take a trip in December to experience the Christmas atmosphere.

The week we decided to visit ended up falling during record lows. These were the two coldest days we had. The high both days only got up to 49 degrees and the low the night of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party was in the 20's! We were literally wearing 5 layers and 2 pairs of gloves and still freezing! Some of the shows in the Magic Kingdom were even canceled due to the extreme cold.

Even with the frigid temperatures, the Christmas decorations, parades, fireworks, and snow(!) were truly magical. And the free hot chocolate during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party definitely hit the spot!
