Here are Disney's Animal Kingdom August Hours for 2009.

Yep, it's August and it's hot at Walt Disney World. But the good news is the summer vacation crowds are finally leaving. Maybe. Maybe not.

August puts and end to summer, and begins the fall season. Crowds lighten up and temperatures start to moderate. Days get shorter, and so do the hours at the Animal Kingdom.

The last week or two in August is a great time for a Walt Disney World vacation. Come on, lets go.

Extra Magic Hour

The EMH you see in the calendar is Disney's Extra Magic Hours. EMH is a program for Disney hotel guests that allows you to be in the park outside of normal operating hours. Only selected rides are open during Extra Magic Hours.
