Before Thanksgiving at Disney World
by Beverly McIlmoyle
Hi Dad! I am contemplating a trip to Disney World either November 12, 2011 to November 19, 2011 or November 26, 2011 to December 3, 2011. If I were to go the third week of November, what Christmas activities go on before Thanksgiving at Disney World that I would be missing out on?
I know that Candlelight Processional doesn't start until after Thanksgiving as well as Christmas around the World. Other than those two things, are all the other Christmas activities, decorations, parties, parades up and running? Thanks so much for your help!
Dad's you got it Answer
Sounds like someone has been reading Dad's great Christmas at Disney World information.
You pretty much covered all of the things that aren't going before Thanksgiving at Disney World. The only decoration you will miss (other than those above) is the tree in the Magic Kingdom. It doesn't go up until after the Christmas Parade has been taped.
Missing the Candlelight Processional
is a big deal. It's the best show during the holidays, but you won't know what you're missing if you miss it. (Famous Yogi Berra quote.)
Dad's Bottom Line
I hope this helps. The bottom line is, you have to choose the time that's best for you and make the best of it.
