Best - nicest - place to stay at Disney World for a large family of 9 - 6 adults and 3 children.

Dad's here are a couple of options Answer

The best place at Disney World for a large family to stay is ... it kinda depends. (Yes, it is a wishy washy answer, but I'll explain.)

If your family wants to be pampered, catered too, in the lap of luxury all the time ... the best, place to stay is the Grand Floridian Hotel. It's the most luxurious, it has the best spa (but it's not Dad's favorite hotel), it has top notched service and top notched restaurants.

If you are like Dad, and are more comfortable in shorts and golf shirts rather than feeling like you should be wearing a suit coat all the time, you might enjoy the Polynesian Resort. It's Dad's favorite hotel. You can't go wrong with the Polynesian.

Of course, in the hotels above you'd have to get multiple rooms, depending on the configuration of the families.

If you are into the condo lifestyle, having lots of room, having a washer and dryer, having a full kitchen, having multiple bathrooms, having a place to play cards or visit with the family in the evenings (you get the picture) ... You might want to try out one of the Grand Villas in one of the Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts. I'd suggest one at either Old Key West, or Disney's Boardwalk Hotel.

The Grand Villas are marvelous accommodations. They are all over 2,400 square feet. They sleep 12 and are some of the hardest reservations to get on the property. They are also the most expensive rooms at Walt Disney World. These start at over $1,200.00 dollars per night. (If you decide to book one of these, let me know. I'll get you a brother-in-law deal.)

Disney is great about putting families together in connecting or adjoining rooms. We had 4 rooms at the Polynesian one trip, and they were all right together in a line. It was great.

Those are the nicest, best places to stay at Disney World for large families. But hey, even the Pop Century works.
