Birthday special for 7 year old

Hello, I really enjoy all your information, it is very educational and humorous at times.

This will be my family's first vacation trip (that does not include visiting friends or family) to Disney World, as well as my first time. Yippee!!

Anyway, we are going October 12-19 2011, it is my daughter's 7th birthday on the 12th and this trip is a surprise for her. We will be getting in after 2pm, and we are staying at World Swan.

Where would you recommend for a birthday dinner? Cinderella's Royal Castle, Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom, she loves animals and anything educational, she loves Minnie Mouse. Also, where would you recommend our first park to be? Thank you so much.

Dad's humorous at times Answer

Julie,

The best dinner/park combination you can make for the first day of a trip, and for a little girls birthday is the Magic Kingdom and Cinderella's Royal Table. I always recommend going to the Magic Kingdom first, especially for first time guests.

Every trip should start and end in the Magic Kingdom. If you can't get reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table, then disregard everything I just said.

The second place I would recommend, based on your description of your daughter, would be an afternoon of fun and frivolity in the Magic Kingdom followed by pigging out at 'Ohana and watching Wishes on the beach at the Polynesian.

Oops, that's my fantasy. Here's something for your daughter.

My recommendations for your family would be either dinner at Chef Mickey's with a Magic Kingdom visit or an afternoon/evening at Epcot with a Princess Storybook Dinner.

Dad's Bottom Line

They are way too many good choices to go through them all. The Magic Kingdom is always a good choice, but as long as you are together, you can't really go wrong.
