Cirque du Soliel

Cirque du Soliel

I'm thinking of taking my kids(6 and 8) to Cirque when we go to Disney. Do you recommend the show and which park is it in?

Dad's I dunno Answer

This is one I don't have a good answer to. We have never been to Cirque du Soliel. We've always found an excuse. Too expensive, too much time, too late to make reservations. It's just hasn't been a priority.

I'm not sure how the show would be for your children. Do you take them to big events like Broadway shows at home? If so, then fine. If not, you might wait. Again I don't know.

Maybe someone else will wander in and give ole Dad a hand on this one.

Not Your Average Show
by: Kat

We saw a different Cirque show a few years ago. If this one is even half as good, your kids will spend their time switching between astonished exclamations and awestruck gaping...along with the adults around them!

Might be better options

Cirque du Soliel is in downtown disney...west side I believe. The marketplace is east side. Both walking distance ,fyi. Its hard to say what's recommended for this type of show for children of those ages because it really depends on maturit...y and appeal to the arts (as I would consider cirque du soliel to be it is not only full of acrobatics but also sound, light, movement appreciation). This is my personal opinion, there are other fabulous things for children to do at Disney at that age. If I were somewhere other than Disney looking for something to do, or if my children were a few years older I would consider it. I would opt for DisneyQuest for a fun (and interactive) activity for 6 and 8 year olds.

I have taken my daughter, who was 7 at the time, and she loved it. Actually, my whole family loved it! It has something for everyone. I didn't get the most expensive seats, my seats were near the back. When I bought the tickets and was asking about seat location, I was actually told that the further back you were, the better. If you are really close, you are straining to see the things that happen in the air. There were plenty of children there! I hope this helps! :)

Hi, Amy, Dad says thanks
