Disney All Star Sports
Transportation

Getting to and from the Disney All Star Sports Resort is pretty simple. You just run. Run to the parks, run to the restaurants, run to ... just about anywhere. (Hey, it's a sports resort.) Really transportation around the All Star resorts is pretty basic. You catch a bus, or as Disney calls the a luxury motor coach.

Disney's Luxury Motor Coach

Disney runs Luxury Motor Coaches (buses) to the all the parks. There is usually a new bus about every 15 minutes. There are also buses to Downtown Disney from the complex. Getting to other Disney World resorts can be difficult and the lines to wait for transportation can be daunting at rush times.

Let's say you want to go to Pioneer Hall home of the Hoop Dee Doo Review. To get there, you have to take a bus to one of the Magic Kingdom and then a boat to Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. Or you could take a bus to one of the parks and then a bus to Ft. Wilderness and take another bus to the back of the campgrounds.

This is why Dad recommends a car at Disney World for all DIsney World vacations.

You might have to wait for a couple of buses during the busy time of the day, During the slower times you'll share buses with the other All Star Resorts and make more stops. Buses do become very crowded during the park opening and closing times.

Disney's Magical Express

Disney will now pick you up at the airport and magically transport you and your family right to your room at Disney All Star Sports Resort. OK, maybe it's not so magic and maybe it's only to the front of the hotel, but it's still a great deal because ... drum roll please ... it's free. Yep free. Make sure to that when you make your reservations you add Disney's Magical Express and let Disney do the driving.

Driving to the All Stars

Disney Transportation does a marvelous job of moving millions of people from place to place, but sometimes there are millions of people to move around which causes lots of waiting and stress. Dad's a big fan of driving yourself around at Walt Disney World.

Dad's Bottom Line

Disney Transportation to the All Star resorts will get you where you want to go, eventually, probably. Sorry, Uncle Walt, your guys do an amazing job, but it's best to have a car at Disney World.
