Disney Pop Century Hotel
The Disney Pop Century Hotel is one of Dad's favorite Walt Disney Resorts. This hotel is the "coolest" hotel anywhere. It's groovy, hip, happenin' and just about perfect. (It says so right on the top of the buildings.)

The Disney Pop Century hotel is a very unique resort. This Disney hotel includes 60 foot tall icons, giant silhouettes of people dancing on the sides of the buildings, and slogans from different decades lining the tops of the buildings.

Guest Rooms
The guest rooms at the all of the value resorts are pretty small. They measure 260 square feet, and there is not a lot of wasted space. You have choices of preferred or standard rooms (the difference is how close you are to the Classic Hall) and a king room or a double bed room.
Guest buildings are grouped in decades. Each of the decades has a different look. Each has 60 foot tall icons and fun sayings across the tops of the buildings. The decades are the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's.

Dining
The Disney Pop Century Hotel has a great place to get breakfast. Everything Pop is located in the Classic Hall. It's serves fresh breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also grab snacks and drinks almost like a small convenience store.
The eating area is huge with lots of tables, but because of the size of the resort, at the busy times of the day, it fills up fast.

The Classic Hall is the center of the resort, both literally and figuratively. It's where you check in, where you eat, drink and even play video games.
The Disney Pop Century hotel has lots of things to keep you entertained as when you're not at the parks. The pools at the Pop are legendary (yes, pun intended). Every evening at around 6, the staff at the front desk does the hustle.
The Classic Hall is home to the hotels shop store. (Yes, even the hotels have their own gift shop.) You can a whole lot of Pop Century gear and Disney merchandise here.

Transportation
Getting around at Disney World can be a chore. Dad always recommends a car at Disney World. Disney provides Luxury Motor Coach (bus) service from the hotel to all the parks, water parks and Downtown Disney.

Disney Value Resorts
The Pop Century, the All Stars Resorts are Value Resorts, the Art of Animation Resort (opening in May lf 2012), make up, as Dad calls them, the Disney World Discount Hotels, which are the most affordable of the Disney Hotels. These resorts have limited transportation, small rooms and limited dining choices. Each of the Value Resorts are very uniquely designed. They have big, really big icons that bring a sense of whimsy to each of the resorts.

Some of the ideas will save you pennies, but some could save you a whole bunch of money. Maybe even thousands of dollars. Yes, thousands. (Like it did for my friend Tina.)
The book is really cool. Trust me!

Ask Dad
Dad knows Walt Disney World. He answers questions about the hotels, the parks, the events and just about anything else in the WDW area. Dad has even answered questions about the Pop Century. Here are some of the best. (Do you think I'd share the worst?)

Dad's Bottom Line
The Pop Century is Dad's second home at Disney World. (Yes, the Polynesian Resort comes first, but only when Dad can afford it.) Two rooms are great for a family of 4, the colors are funky, it's just about perfect.
