January January is one of the best months to visit Walt Disney World when it comes to crowds. The month starts with a bang with the huge January 1st throngs which rapidly dindle away.
Most of the month is very quiet, except for a little blip during the Martin Luther King holiday weekend.
The Disney World Marathon will draw a bunch of runners, but the crowds are manageable.
February February is all about Presidents Day week. It's the week to avoid. People come out of the woodwork and the lines are just nuts.
Feburary starts out serene but the President's Day holiday brings in a crush of humanity. After that week it all calms down again.
Most of the February is great.
March Spring break dominates the last half of March. The first few days of March are nice and slow, but then all the kiddies get out of school for Spring Break and the families start heading to Walt Disney World.
Easter hits with a big red bang. The combination of Easter and Spring Break makes for huge crowds at the end of the month. (Not Christmas crowds, but really big crowds.)
The good new is the Flower and Garden Festival is in full swing.
April is March tuned upside down. Spring Break and Easter dominate the first couple of weeks of the month. Then as quickly as the crowds came, they leave. It's amazing.
After the first couple of weeks calm descends on Walt Disney World. Yes, it's not nearly as slow as January and February, but it's still pretty nice.
Oh, and the weather is just about perfect.
May is one of the nicest months of the year to visit Walt Disney World.
The crowds are tiny (compared to Spring Break crowds) and the weather if fabulous. The International Flower and Garden Festival winds down and Star Wars Weekends start the last couple of weeks of the month.
It's a great time to visit WDW.
June is the start of summer. Summer vacations begin and people swarm to Disney World. Yes, the early days of the month are less crowded, then late in the month everyone shows up.
Summer is a great time to visit WDW. There are all kinds of extra shows and happenings going on and it a perfect time to take in all of the pools and water parks.
The 2nd week of June is one of Dad's to 5 weeks to visit Disney World in 2013.
July July is the hottest month of the year at Disney World. It might also be the busiest. (Yes, Christmas week is the busiest of the year but July 4th week comes in a close 2nd.)
The nonth starts of with a bang with one of the biggest celebrations of the founding of America anywhere. Of course it's also one of the best attended.
Big crowds means great shows. Disney really knows how to take care of the crowds.
August continues the summer. In fact the first weekend is the last big weekend of the summer.
And then it all comes to an end. After the first weekend the crowds go away almost like Magic. Starting with the second weekend of the month peace, harmony and serenity are the order of the day at Disney World. (The temperatures are still pretty hot though.)
Check out August at Disney World.
September Look at all that green. September may be the month of the year with the lowest crowds. What a great time for a magical vacation.
September may be the month of the smallest crowds at Disney World. Yes, the smallest.
There is just nothing else to say but let's go.
Like September, October is a wonderful time, crowd wise, to visit Disney World.
Colombus Day Week does bump up the crowds a bit, and the Food and Wine Festival will make Epcot busy in the evenings (but the rides are pretty empty). Still all-in-all the crowds are pretty manageable.
Hey, October is so good Dad chose it for the Palooza. It was fun.
The Christmas season at DisneyWorld begins in November. Christmas season time is special. The decorations, the shows, the atmosphere can't be beat.
Thanksgiving week gets a little busy (OK, it gets really busy), but the rest of the month is really nice.
Thanksgiving comes really late in 2013. And that plays a bit of havoc with Dad's top 5 weeks to visit Disney World.
December December is the best month of the year to visit Disney World. It's not even close. That's why so many people come flocking to the most Magical Place on Earth during the Most Magical Time of the Year.
Christmas at Disney World is just amazing. Christmas Week at Disney World is outrageous. The biggest crowds of the year show up.
Avoid Christmas Week but December is a wonderful time to visit.
