Disney World Magic Your Way or Room Only Package

Disney World Magic Your Way or Room Only Package

by Taylor

Hi Dad, We are debating between a Magic Your Way or a room only package. We plan on staying at the Boardwalk Inn with the club level feature so we don't plan on having a dining plan. The thing is if we add park hopper tickets onto this does that turn it into a package and make payment due in full 45 days before our trip? Or are we still able to pay when we check in? Thank you.

Dad's you can do it Answer

How are you today? It's cold and rainy around here. (Yeah, I know, enough of the chit chat.)

You've got a real good question about room only versus a Magic Your Way Package. First, let me say, it's not an apples to apples comparison. The Magic Your Way Package comes with some real nice extras like free mini-golf, discounts on dining at Downtown Disney and more.

Dad's Disney World Vacations Package page

Room Only is another way to book Disney World vacations. You don't get all the extras the Magic Your Way Package offers but you do have one big advantage. You pay a one nights deposit and then you pay the balance when you check in to the hotel. (The Magic Your Way Package has to be paid for 45 days prior to arrival.)

So, how do you get tickets on a Room Only deal? That's simple. Go to Dad's Cheapest Disney World Tickets page and go down to where it says Dad Recommends Undercover Tourist and click on that link. You can order your tickets from Undercover Tourist and save some money. You could also order tickets only from Disney, but you'll save about $5 per ticket if you order from UT.

Dad's Bottom Line

Taylor, if you add tickets to a Room Only Reservation it does make a Magic Your Way Package which means it will have to be paid 45 days before arrival. You can just make the room reservation and buy the tickets separately. You can do it.
