If you need some help deciding some issues, Dad has answers to the most frequently asked Disney World travel questions below.

Frequently asked Disney World travel questions

Should we fly or drive?

Dad's flippant, answer would be YES! Of course you should fly or drive, and as soon as possible, but that's not a practical, or very helpful answer.

Let's drive to Orlando I've developed a very practical tool to help you make an informed decision on driving to Orlando.

If you decided to fly, the next question is...

How do we find the cheapest flights to Orlando?

Finding cheap flights to Orlando can be easy. It can also be a lot of work.

Check out Dad's Flights to Orlando page

Do we need a rental car at Disney World?

The "Disney" answer is no. Dad's perfect answer is a resounding maybe.

Here's why...

Dad likes to drive himself around. See what he says about having a car at Disney World.

Check out Dad's Orlando rental car page for information about car companies and how to find the best prices.

Uncle Walt will be happy to pick you up and take you to the airport using Disney's Magical Express. He'll also take you from your hotel to the parks all for free. (Isn't he great?)

Where should we sleep?

This is the MOST IMPORTANT DECISION you will make when planning your Disney World travel arrangements. Your hotel/resort/motel/campsite will be the place you spend the most time during your trip. So it's important that you get it right.

The first decision is whether to choose a Disney Resort, or a non-Disney hotel. Dad prefers Disney hotels. Go here to see why. You can also check out hotels in Orlando.

Where should we buy our tickets?

Please, for your safety, buy your Disney World tickets from an authorized Disney World ticket broker, from Disney, or from a travel agent.

Do Disney World travel packages save us money?

Dad unravels the mystery of life... well maybe not life, but of Disney World package deals. Everything you need to know to make an informed decision about whether to piece together your own package or buy one is right at your fingertips.

Dad's Guide to Packages shows you how to compare Disney World travel package deals to separately priced items. It's worth the price.

Dad's Bottom Line

Making Disney World travel arrangements is a little work. But with just a little effort, and a little help, you can be comfortable that you've made good choices.

Have fun and good luck.

Little Known Diversions

On one of our trips to Florida, we stopped at the John Stennis Space Center. It's on the border of Louisana and Mississippi in the swamps off of I-10.

The Stennis Space Center tests all of NASA's rocket engines. We had a great time looking around. Even the kids (who were 9 and 4 at the time) liked it. The rocket engine test stands were really impressive.

This is one of those little known diversions you'd miss if you flew to Orlando every time.
