Disney's Wedding Pavilion at the Grand Floridian Resort is one of the top wedding venues in the world. Disney weddings are what little girls dream about (and their Dad's have nightmares about). Who wouldn't want to get married in a beautiful setting with Cinderella Caste in the background?

Location

The pavilion is located on a small island in Seven Seas Lagoon. The island is tied to the grounds of the opulent Grand Floridian Resort. The Grand Floridian is the flagship resort at Walt Disney World. It's the top of the line when it comes to Disney hotels.

Inside

Disney's Wedding Chapel seats 300. The chapel comes complete with a organ (with an amazing organist) and video capabilities including 3 built in video cameras. There are both Bride and Groom rooms where last minute preparations can be made. There is a small patio where small groups can have receptions. (Larger receptions can be held at a variety of locations around the park.) Up to 6 weddings per day can be held in the chapel.

What does it cost?

I was a bit surprised when I looked at prices for a Disney World wedding. The price for a basic wedding at Pavilion starts at $10,000 for a morning wedding and $12,000.00 for afternoon weekday weddings. This goes up to $15,000.00 on the weekend. (Prices for 2012 are a little different.) This is a minimum charge including transportation, food, music, videos and other services provided by Disney.

Dad's Bottom Line

Yes, you can spend a bazillion dollars, but, you could have a basic wedding for a reasonable price. The wedding chapel is a beautiful place for a magical wedding.
