Dad and Family at WDW

Finally a Disney Guide with Dad-a-tude

Epcot Italy

Epcot Italy is one of the most disappointing areas of the park (second to the food at the American pavilion). It's either a restaurant with a overgrown waiting area or an unfinished pavilion. There's just nothing here.

The Food

Tutto Italia Ristorante is the restaurant that dominates this area. The restaurant is run by world famous (yes, more than just Disney World) California chef Joachim Splichal. In 2007 L’Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante closed. It was one of our families favorites. (We haven't gotten to try the new restaurant yet.)

(Dad's story about L’Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante in Epcot Italy pavilion)

Coming soon will be a sit down pizza restaurant. It's part of a chain. It's called Naples45. It will bring comfortable fast food with extras, something this part the World Showcase desperately needs.

The Statues

Italy is know for great artists. Disney has copied some of the best statues and put them around this area as you can see above.

Dad's Bottom Line

This is the most skippable part of the World Showcase. Unless you have meal plans here, spend your time elsewhere.
