Great Place for big group to dine at Disney World
We are traveling on August 20-30 with my family and will be 11 people and later in the week 14 people. Only 2 children age 9. Is there a great place for a big group to dine at Disney World? We are taking part in the grand gathering at Animal Kingdom. What else could you recommend. Thanks Anna
Dad's my favorite dining memory Answer
Several years ago, we took the whole family to Disney World (yes, there's a point to this). I finally talked Mrs. Mom's whole family into taking one big family trip. We planned out one big meal together every day. Do you know what it's like to book a party of 15 for 7 big meals? It was interesting to say the least.
My favorite meal during that whole trip was the meal we had at 'Ohana. When we got there, we had to wait a bit, but the whole night was great. We had a ball. We ate and ate and ate. Everyone had a great time. In fact a group was seated at a table next to us and when the server asked what they wanted to drink, they pointed at our table and said "we'll have what they are drinking." (I think they were a little surprised when the iced tea showed up.)
'Ohana is a great place for a big group to dine at Disney World. They easily handle big groups. (Most of the Disney Restaurants are set up for big groups.) Disney will tell you that any group of more than 8 might be split up, but that never happened to us and we've been there a couple of times.
