How to get from the Caribbean Beach Resort to ...
Hello Carl –
The good news is that we just revised our reservation and added the free dining promotion and I was able to get all of our ADRs we wanted. This leads me to my question; I really tried to find this answer on my own but was unsuccessful – no lie.
We are staying at Caribbean Beach Resort and we’ve booked breakfast at Cape May Café in Beach Club Resort and breakfast at 'Ohana in the Polynesian Resort. How do we get from the Caribbean Beach Resort to Beach Club Resort and the Polynesian Resort?
While I have you, I guess I’ll ask another question – if permitted. We will be at WDW during my son’s 9th Birthday; is there anything you can recommend that will make this a special day for him? We’re letting him pick what he wants to do for the day and the hint we are getting is that he wants to go where ever he will get the most attention for his BD. The Cape May Café breakfast is booked on his BD so we feel that is a good start but we’re looking for a little something else to add to it.
As always thank you!!!!
Dad's happy birthday to you Answer
Todd, it's good to hear from you again. Sounds like your trip is coming together nicely.
Getting from resort to resort can be a real challenge. (That's why Dad always recommends a car at Disney World
. Fortunately one of your trips is real easy, the other ...
To get from the Caribbean Beach Resort to the Beach Club is fairly easy. There should be a bus that takes you to from the CBR to the Boardwalk. When you get to the Boardwalk, you can walk around it to the Beach Club. (Ask the driver, the bus might actually stop at the Beach Club Resort. Some do, some don't.)
On the other hand, getting from the Caribbean Beach Resort to the Polynesian Resort is a little more challenging, but not too bad. Take the bus to the Magic Kingdom. From there you have a lots of choices.
From the Magic Kingdom you can ...
- Take the ferry to the Transportation and Ticket Center and walk to the Polynesian from the TTC
- Ride the Polynesian Resort launch
- Take the Express Monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center and walk to the Polynesian
- You can take the Resort Monorail around to the Polynesian
- Transfer to the Polynesian Resort Bus (I don't recommend this one)
Like I said you have lots of options. One I didn't mention, because it's pretty silly is take the bus to Epcot, ride the Monorail to the TTC, change to the resort monorail to the Polynesian (like I said pretty silly).
Happy Birthday Specials
There are a couple of things you can do to make your son's birthday special. The first is to go to the front desk at the hotel and tell them it's his birthday. They should give him a button to wear. Make sure he wears it, pixie dust will fall on him. (Usually.) Then make sure you put on your ADR at Cape May that it's his birthday.
Or, you could take him to the Coke place in Epcot and make sure he drinks the Beverly (sorry, that's pretty evil).
If he wants some real attention, book a reservation at The Pirates League (407) WDW-CREW. He'll get to pick a pirate costume and get a makeover and be a real pirate for a day.
