January Magic Kingdom Hours

The January Magic Kingdom Hours are as boring as the January weather. Predictable. The park is going to open at 9:00 in the morning and close at 8:00 in the evening almost every day except for the first week to celebrate the New Year. BORING.

Crowds
January is one of the nicest times to visit Walt Disney World. In January crowds are fairly light for most of the month. Temperatures are comfortable and the park is beautiful (It always is.)

January Events
The only big event in January is the Disney World Marathon Weekend. Held the first weekend every January, the marathon brings in some crowds but overall it's a great time to visit.

Extra Magic Hour
Another boring an predictable thing in January at the Magic Kingdom is Disney's Extra Magic Hour . Sunday's the park is open late and Thursday it opens early. Every week (after the New Years crowds go home). It's just pretty predictable. (I mean that in the best possible way.)

As usual Disney's hours are subject to change without notice. Or at least without fanfare.

Dad's Bottom Line
Even though the January Magic Kingdom hours only go to 8:00 most nights, Wishes is still shown every night in January. And most nights you can see Main Street Electrical Parade. Check your daily schedule for the times.
