New Walt Disney World discounts announced for the late summer

Yesterday, (yes, on the holiday) Disney announced some new discounts on room packages at Walt Disney World.

The discount is available for those traveling between August 14 and October 1. Prices start at $69.00 per night at the Value Resorts, $129.00 per night at the Moderate Resorts, $189.00 per night at the Deluxe Resorts and $209.00 per night at the Deluxe Villa Resorts.
All the standard disclaimers apply. There are a limited number of discount rooms available. Prices are higher on the weekends. Reservations must be made by August 13.
Dad's Bottom Line
This is another nail in the coffin of
Free Dining at Disney World. (Sob.) But it is still a discount and a pretty good one. Disney hasn't yet be able to
wean itself off of discounts no matter how much they say they want to.
