Anyone know what happens in November at Walt Disney World? Nope, not Thanksgiving. For some reason Disney doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving. Disney celebrates Christmas starting in November. The Magic Kingdom turns into Christmas central starting the first week of November.

There are lots of great events all year long at Disney World. Check out Dad's list of the happenings throughout the year ... Disney really out does itself in November and December with Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. The party includes a special fireworks show, parade, special lighting on Cinderella's castle, cookies and cocoa, snow falling in Florida (really only Disney can make that happen), and riding many attractions without much wait.

Crowds in November are slow in the beginning of the month but the week of Thanksgiving people come out of the woodwork. Then as quickly as they arrived, the Thanksgiving week crowds disappear.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party dates are highlighted in red. You can see Wishes every night. The times differ based on closing times and the Christmas Party. (On Christmas Party nights, Wishes will be shown during the Christmas Party and not during regular hours.)

Dad's Bottom Line

The November Magic Kingdom hours are fairly short compared to some months. The week of Thanksgiving is the exception, but that's because crowds are a bit out of control that week.
