The Classic Hall
The Classic Hall of Disney Pop Century Resort is the place you drive up to when you arrive at the Resort. It's where you go to check in, check out, buy tickets, eat meals and play video games. It's a really big building and the center of the Pop Universe.
The check-in counter is as big as Texas. I think I counted 20 families checking-in at the same time the last time we were there. (There was still a line.) There is a section that serves as the concierge area. Questions about your Disney World vacation can be answered, dining reservations can be made, reviewed or changed, tickets can be upgraded, all right in the Classic Hall.
There are displays on the walls around the Classic Hall that have everything from saddle shoes to pet rocks. Check them out.
The Disney Pop Century Resort has three heated pools. (We saw people in the pool with the temperature 35 degrees.) The bowling pin pool is in the 50's area. The Hippy Dippy Pool in the 60's area, and Computer Pool in the 80's/90's area.
Pop Jet Playground is a water jet area with a kid's pool. It's located near the 70's buildings.
Lifeguards are on duty from 9:00am until midnight.
The pools are a great place for kids to burn off that last burst of energy before going to bed. Our teenagers loved the freedom of getting away from the parents and going out to the pool, even after a full day in the parks. We parents loved the fact that we could walk out the door and look down and see the kids.
There are lots of extras scattered around the Disney Pop Century Resort. You can find an oversized Twister, ping pong table (with paddles and balls).
Inside Classic Hall has a great arcade. There are lots of video games, prize winning games and fun for the whole family. (We always give the kids some discretionary money and most of it ends up here.)
Outside of the Classic Hall you'll find the Petals Pool Bar where you can purchase snacks and drinks. (Open seasonally.)
Classic Concoctions is located in the food court. It's a nighttime lounge that has 2 TV's. It serves beer, cocktails, wine and appetizers.

Disney, being thoughtful, has even made two laundry rooms available. Oddly enough, they are next to the pools. Bring lots of quarters and a bathing suit.
There is no dedicated child care at the Disney Pop Century Resort. There are several child care services you can choose from. Here are just a couple that have good reputations
- All About Kids - In room or in park childcare starting at $13.00 per hour.
- Super Sitters - In room or accompany to park childcare starting at $14.00 per hour
Dad's Bottom Line
There's always something to do. You can swim year around. We saw people in the pool when it was 35 degrees outside. Brrrrrrrr
