Save money (and calories) on the Disney Dining Plan

My mom and I have been going to Disney World since 2005 and have become pro's. :).
We have been doing the Disney Dining Plan through out the years and found out a great way to save money (calories for those who are watching calories on vacation).
We go with the Basic (regular) plan
(1 Table, 1 counter, 1 snack).
Usually people buy breakfast (or lunch) with their hard earn cash. But we save. This works for 2 people per 1 counter.
When we go we split breakfast and split lunch. So we use 1 counter service for breakfast (split) and the other person uses their 1 counter service for lunch. You split everything. Saves you money and your not eating as much when you split the counter services.
