Time to slow down and relax at the Magic Kingdom. Walt Disney World in the fall is a much different place. The crowds are slower. The parks are more relaxed. Everything is beautiful.

Crowds are a fact of life when it comes to visiting the Magic Kingdom. And even when the crowds are light it's good to have a plan that will allow you to visit the park without standing in line all day. That's what Touringplans.com is all about. Check out their over 140 Disney World park touring plans or see the Lines smart phone app that will tell you just exactly how long every line is.

There are some great events that start in the fall. At the Magic Kingdom Mickey's No So Scary Halloween Party starts early in the month and continues on selected nights throughout the month.

Extra Magic Hour
The EMH you see in the calendar is Disney's Extra Magic Hours. EMH is a program for Disney hotel guests that allows you to be in the park outside of normal operating hours. Only selected rides are open during Extra Magic Hours.

Dad's Bottom Line
September is one of the best months to visit Walt Disney World and the Magic Kingdom. The September Magic Kingdom hours are fairly long and the park is almost empty. It's the best of both worlds.
