The Man Child loves Flights of Wonder
by Dad
(In the air)
When the Man-Child was very young (I would say small, but he's never been small), his goal in live has been to capture and raise a bird. We first noticed this on one of our first trips to Disney World.
We were at one of those restaurants at The Magic Kingdom where the birds are always hanging around trying to mooch food. The Man-Child was sneaking around. (You know what that looks like when one of you children is sneaking around doing something they shouldn't be.) So being good parents, we, Mrs. Mom and I, asked him what he was doing. He answered, I'm going to catch a bird. He was just sure he could catch one.
For years he talked about catching a bird and raising it. (He never actually did. Sad really. Every boy should have a bird.) So now, instead of actually owning a bird, we take The Man-Child to Flights of Wonder at Animal Kingdom. He just sits there with his mouth open the whole show. (It's kinda embarrassing.) He loves the show. He drags us there every time we go to the Animal Kingdom.
Every boy needs a bird.
