The Muppets are Taking Over Magic Kingdom…

Back in July, Disney announced that a new live show, “The Muppets Present…Great Moments in American History” would be coming to Walt Disney World. The show had its official debut on October 2.

The show has two versions (with more to be added in the future, we hope!) and will feature all your favorite Muppets including Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and The Great Gonzo. It will be hosted by James “J.J.” Jefferson, town crier of Liberty Square, and the “fiercely patriotic” Sam Eagle who orchestrated the incredible musical number “"A Salute to All Nations (But Mostly America)," for Muppet Vision 3D.

See Dad’s Liberty Square page

The show will take place multiple times throughout the day in Liberty Square as J.J. and the Muppets perform some rather…interesting…reenactments of American history including the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the midnight ride of Paul Revere. Don’t forget to listen for some new original songs, as well.

Because it's the Muppets, expect lots of humor and mishaps. Like they said on the Disney Parks Blog “If you like some hijinks with your history, be sure to check out ‘The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History’ this fall at Walt Disney World Resort!”
