, Disney’s new holiday extravaganza, follows elves Wayne and Lanny from ABC’s holiday special Prep & Landing
as they search for a missing Santa and ensure his safe return to the North Pole before Christmas Eve.
According to the Disney Parks Blog, the show will take place around, above, and on the Chinese Theater. “Memorable holiday moments” from Mickey’s Christmas Carol, Beauty and the Beast, Pluto’s Christmas Tree, Bambi, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas,
and more will be cast on the iconic building. There will also be fireworks, other special effects—and snow! It all builds up to the so-called festive finale, “So Tinsel!”
Disney will be offering a Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Holiday Dessert Party which includes reserved seating, desserts, specialty beverages, and 3D HoloSpex glasses to wear while watching the show. According to WDW News Today the glasses “create holographic illusions of gingerbread men, candy canes, snowflakes and ornaments on any bright point of light.”
Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! will temporarily replace the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular fireworks display during the holiday season. It is set to run through Dec. 31.
