Cinderella Castle turned pink

I love castles. Always have. I grew up wanting to live in a castle with a moat and drawbridge. That's probably why I love Disney World so much.

Cinderella Castle is my favorite castle. I've dreamed of living inside those walls ever since they built it. Except for the year ...

Disney turned Cinderella Castle pink. We had heard about it for months. Every one said it was just awful. How could they do it? Maybe we should punish them and never return, was the battle cry on the internet.

Dad went anyway. They were right. It was awful.

I *Loved* It
by: Cindy

Awww...c'mon, it wasn't that bad! My whole family loved the huge, beautifully decorated castle cake. It was amazing to see. Wouldn't want it to stay that way, of course, but still pretty cool for the moment.

Great Story!

That "pink castle" was the center of playful debates with Vatti on whether or not it was edible. (It was designed as a cake for it's *ahem* silver jubilee in fall 1996!) I have been to the MK with that center of debate twice - on Christmas Day '96 and spring break '97!
