Unofficial Guide to Disney World - Family of Books

The Unofficial Guide to Disney World family of books has something for everyone. There are 5 Disney World books and one book on Orlando in the toolbox (that's what they call it) of the Unofficial Guide.

These books have been the top selling books on Disney World for years. There's a reason for that. They are just good. I highly recommend all of them.

Here's a little about each book -

The Big Book

This is the main book and the one that started it all. The Unofficial Guide to Disney World is an 800+ page behemoth. It's incredible how much information is packed into this gem. The writing is great and funny. Everything at Disney World is covered from the buses to the crowds and even the water parks. It's packed with touring plans for each park and information about the best time to ride each ride.

The Color Companion

For years my only complaint about the Big Book was it didn't have any color pictures. Then one day, the Color Companion to Walt Disney World showed up. Was I shocked. This was the book I had dreamed of writing. It's beautiful and the pictures are incredible. What's amazing is it covers exactly what the Big Book covers, but is totally different. (OK, maybe some of the tips are the same.)

Mini Mickey

You've got the Big Book and the little book. Mini Mickey is the condensed version of the Big Book. You could actually take Mini Mickey to the parks with you. Every fully equipped Disney World backpack should have one. Mini Mickey is great for planning last minute trips or just a good weekend read.

With Kids

Taking kids to Disney World? Who isn't. This book contains special plans designed for families with kids. There are plans for toddlers, pre-teens, and teens. Over 12,500 families were surveyed and plans were developed based on those surveys. The touring plans in the book can save a family over 4 hours of waiting in lines.

For Grown-ups

Dump the kids and go all alone? Sounds like sacrilidge. Disney World is not just for kids. There is are lots of things for adults to do without the kids. You see all the neat new commercials where Mom and Dad are going for the first time after the kids leave home. Or on the other end of the spectrum, young couples on honeymoons or going before the kids come. The resort has a magic for children of all ages.
