Which Magic Kingdom Restaurant?

by Amanda

I'm back once again for more advice! :)

Trying to decide which Magic Kingdom Restaurant to eat at on our last night. We will be at Magic Kingdom all day. I'm stuck between Crystal Palace or Tony's Town Square. Our children are ages 9, 6 & 3. I know the Crystal Palace has Pooh characters, but looking at their buffet menu, it seems not so appetizing.

Or, should we drive over to Chef Mickeys? Where would you suggest eating our goodbye meal at? :)

Thanks a bunch!

Dad's tough decision Answer

Thanks for stopping by again. You've come up with a tough question (it shouldn't be, but it is). So, which Magic Kingdom restaurant should you visit for your last meal?

Let's look at the choices -
  • Tony's Town Square Restaurant - Tony's has a great sounding theme in a perfect location. Unfortunately it also has some of the most disappointing food in the Magic Kingdom and that's saying something. I'd probably skip this one.
  • The Crystal Palace - this is one of the best restaurants in the Magic Kingdom. (That's not real high praise.) We enjoyed Crystal Palace and even the food was pretty good. (Yes, the menu is full of stuff that doesn't sound that good, but you can find something to eat.) If the kids like Pooh, this one wins.
  • Chef Mickey's - Chef Mickey's has the best food of the 3 but that's not saying much. If the kids haven't gotten up close with the big mouse or the duck, then duck over to Chef Mickey's.
I'm not sure any of these would make my list for a memorable last meal. (However we did Chef Mickey's for our last meal when the whole clan went and it was a great time.)

Dad's Bottom Line

Amanda, The Magic Kingdom doesn't have many good options for a memorable meal. I'd probably go with Chef Mickey's if you have lots of time, if not Crystal Palace.

(Dad would just grab a hot dog with a white bun at Casey's and ride Buzz Lightyear one or two more times.)

If you have time to go to Chef Mickey's, how about O'hana at the Polynesian?????
