Why you NEED a Travel Agent for EVERY Disney World Vacation
This is why you NEED a travel agent for EVERY Disney World vacation. I can sum it up in one word.
Matthew. OK two words, Hurricane Matthew.

Last week was a real MESS for a whole lot of people traveling to and from Orlando and especially for those that were at WDW. A real big MESS. We talked about it a bunch last week.
When things like this happen it's really good to have a friend in high (or maybe low) places...
OOooh, time for my buddy Garth...
"Cause I've got friends in low places..."
OK, that doesn't have anything to do with having a travel agent for a Disney World vacation but Garth is a fellow Okie and he sings even better than Dad.
Last week during Matthew I was seeing lots of posts on Facebook, hearing lots of stories, reading about people who were really upset and worried about their trip. Flights were canceled. It wasn't a good idea to be driving into a hurricane. It was just a mess.
It was pretty much chaos. There were a lot of questions were asked with not a lot of answers. A lot of people were really upset at airlines, Disney and just about everyone involved. Chaos.
This is why I recommend you ALWAYS use a travel agent. I don't care how experienced you are at booking WDW vacations. Shoot, even I, who have been a travel agent, who's book over 100 trips, I still use a travel agent just for things like Matthew.
When chaos happens, it's good to have help. It's good to have a helping hand. It's good to have someone who deals with travel issues all the time. It's good to have someone who has a big Disney Rep on speed dial. It's good to have someone who knows what's happening. It's good to have a calming supportive voice. It's good to have someone with experience, that knows what to do next.
That's why you NEED a Travel Agent for EVERY Disney World Trip. For the chaos.
Yes, I'm going to plug my friend Shannon and Destinations to Travel here. I totally and completely trust, use and highly recommend Destinations to Travel. I've dealt with Shannon and her company for over 2 years now and couldn't be happier with them, not because they pay me (they do) but because of the feedback I get from the guests that use them.
I could go on and on, but I'll quit. if you are going to WDW anytime soon, please, use a Travel Agent that specializes in Disney. The best one I know is...
Dad's Bottom Line
The bottom line is, yes, it's pretty easy these days to book your own vacation. Normally, it's OK, but when it's not, it's really good to have a good friend that will go to bat for you and take care of things. Trust me!
If you were at Walt Disney World last week, I'd love to hear what it was like. I have a few friends that went through it, but I'd like to hear what you experienced. Just click on "post here to add your comments" and tell us what happened.
