Will We See Enough Christmas in November?

Will We See Enough Christmas in November?

Dad,
We are traveling to Disney World for my son's 13th birthday. Our plan was to go Nov 11-19 but we are hearing that the holiday decorations and activities aren't in full swing yet. Is this correct? The only other time we could go is the week after Thanksgiving BUT we were hoping for free dining which is often blacked out that week. I really want this to be special so any advice you have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Dad’s Have Your Turkey Answer

Tina, it looks like you just might be able to have your Turkey and eat it too. That’s saying a lot because with any trip, you can’t always get what you want (but if you try sometimes, you just might find you get what you need…)

Dad sings good.

Back to your trip. You have two options. If you go November 11-19 as currently planned, you’ll miss Free Dining (you need to have arrival dates of November 15-21 or 26-28 to be eligible that month) and while some of Christmas has begun at WDW, it won’t be in full swing.

On the other hand, if you arrive after Thanksgiving on November 26, 27, or 28 – you’ll get Free Dining (pending availability – and you should move on that immediately if you want it) AND the holiday festivities will be running at full speed.

Dad’s friends at Destinations to Travel LLC. can help you sort everything out, lickety split. Give Shannon and her team a shout!

Boy oh boy, Dad sure loves Christmas at Disney World! You’re in for a real treat!

Dad's Bottom Line

Tina, act fast and you just might be able to snag a reservation that checks off every box on your list. Good luck!

Hi Anonymous

Did you check your SPAM folder. I sent in a request for a transfer and the email response I had received ended up in my SPAM folder. I have found Shannon to be very attentive and quick to my request and follow up emails. My transfer is still pending but I know these things take time. Seems like you rushed to post a complaint and chose to take the "Anonymous" route to do so......just saying

Poor service at DtoT
by: Anonymous

Folks, I love Dad, but this "Shannon" has taken two days to get back to me for a reservation transfer that I needed some help with. Not exactly the customer service that we have been reading about here.

Dad's Answer

After talking to you today, I think this turned out to be some miscommunication. I think Shannon had thing pretty well in hand.

I hope you have a great trip!

Meal Plan
by: Bob

wW are going Nov, 12 th -19 also. if you call disney they will work with you on free dining plan. We have to pay for 1st 3 days then we get the plan starting the 15th.

Dad Answers

Bob, you can do that, but I don't think you are going to find it saves you much. You would probably have to have 2 sets of tickets. One for the 12-14 and one starting the 15th.

While Disney will work with you, I think you might find it better to talk to our partners at Destinations to Travel. They deal with this situation all the time and are great with helping with planning.

They will help you find the best deal.
