Arrival time for Extra Magic Hours
by Pam (Hubbard Lake, MI)
“I plan on taking advantage of Extra Magic Hours. If Extra Magic Hours start at 8:00 a.m., what time should I arrive at the park?”

Pam, just probably any time before eight. Maybe 5 or 10 minutes before.
You don’t have to get there at 7:30, unless you’re talking about a really, really busy day, but on a normal day for Extra Magic Hours, it won’t take you long to get through security, so 10 minutes at the most before eight o’clock, 7:45 or so, is okay.
It’s not like the regular entry, the nine o’clock one, when you have to line up and you want to get there early because the line is so long. It’s not like that for Extra Magic Hours. You just get there. It’ll take you a couple minutes, and you can get right in.
You might want to look at transportation. Transportation options can be a little difficult for Extra Magic Hours, but it can take a little while to get there, so if you’re going to try to be there at 7:45, you might want to be at the bus stop at like 6:45, just because there might not be buses available.
Now, if you’ve got your own transportation, it’s not anything to worry about. If you’re on a Monorail Hotel, it’s not quite as bad, but transportation can be a little spotty that early in the morning. Bus service can be kind of spotty that early in the morning. Usually it’s pretty good, but it can be just a little tricky.
