Best Day To Have A Resort Day?

“We are finalizing plans for an August 5 – 10 vacation. We will be staying at Animal Kingdom Kidani Village. We want to have a nice relaxing “resort day” 1 day during the week and I’m wondering which day of the week would be the best (i.e. quietest) day to just stay at the resort, lay by the pool, etc.”

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday

Hi Mary,

Thanks for the question.

One of my favorite movies of all time is “You’ve Got Mail”. In it Tom Hanks quotes “The Godfather” talking about what day to do something. He says “Monday, Tuesday, Thursday” in a coolish Italian accent.

I love that scene because it’s so descriptive of things like what you are struggling with.

Sometimes when you are trying to choose the best day for something it just doesn’t matter. This is one of those times.

It doesn’t much matter which day you pick. The crowds will be pretty much the same every day you’ll be there. Weekends might be a little busier, but Monday, Tuesday, Thursday… It really doesn’t matter.

TouringPlans

You might take a look at TouringPlans and see what day you want to go to each park, crowd wise. Then pick a day for your Resort day of rest.

TouringPlans projects the crowd levels in each park on a day to day basis. It will also have Extra Magic Hours and entertainment schedules.

Dad’s Bottom Line

Mary, I don’t think you can make a wrong choice that week, so I’m going to say, in the immortal words of Woody, choose “Monday, Tuesday, Thursday”.
