Dad’s August Crowd Calendar will show you that August is the month where crowds go from CrAzY to lazy in like two days. So, the first half of the month crowds are CrAzY, heavy crowds, and that lasts until about the 15th of the month. 15th, still kind of heavy crowds, 16th moderate crowds, 17th light crowds. Then the lazy crowds show up. It’s just almost like a light switch. You know, turn the light switch off, crowds go away. That’s the way August works. And so August, you avoid the first half of the month, CrAzY, and you go towards the last half of the month lazy.

The good thing about, especially the end of the last half of the month, this year for the first time ever, you’ve got Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party starting in August. On August 25th and the 29th, there are Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party’s.

The EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival starts right at the end of the month, so there’s a lot of good stuff that last week of August. That’s probably when I would recommend to go that last week of the month. But, anytime after the 15th of the month should be a fine time to go. It’s gonna be hot, nothing you can do about that. It’s just gonna be hot, that’s the way it is. Disney in August is scorching hot.

Dad’s Bottom Line

So first half of the month CrAzY crowds, the last half of the month lazy crowds … The last week of the month is the best.
