Best tips for WDW Water Parks

What is your best tip for visiting one of the Florida water parks?

Dad’s Waterpark Fun Answer

The Waterparks at Walt Disney World are pretty amazing. Dad’s a big fan. I think that the Disney Waterparks are fun for all ages.

As for tips…

Mostly it follows what I would suggest for the theme parks. Get to the parks early. Ride the busy rides first. Relax and enjoy the afternoons.

The crowd patterns at both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are the same as you’ll find in the theme parks. The mornings are pretty slow and as they day goes on the crowds build.

The lines at the big slides get longer as the day wears on. By noon, on a nice day, the lines on the big slides will be pretty crazy.

That means it’s time to take a nice quiet spin through a lazy river or just sit on the beach and watch people go by.

Destinations to Travel

Be sure to check out our upcoming May Issue of WDW Magazine. We are going to do a Water Park Fun and More Issue in May. It will have a lot of tips for your trip.

Dad’s Bottom Line

We love the water parks at WDW. Our favorite is Typhoon Lagoon, but Blizzard Beach is really “Cool”.

My tip is to go to the water parks on a rainy day.
You are wet anyway and there is no one there!

Mar 26, 2015 Side Note for the Shark Pool
by: Spyderskiss

The water in this section is FREEZING and deep. Do not try to snorkle thourgh this unless you are a strong swimmer. We wanted to do it but the water was too cold for myself and way too deep and long for my daughter who is not a strong swimmer. We ended up needing help from the staff to climb back out, but we did go around and look out into the pool from the sunken sub windows. These fish were lovely and the sharks larger than I pictured. So just know before you go.
