Bring a guest to Ft. Wilderness Campground for one night

Hi Dad! We are staying at the cabins in Ft. Wilderness and have a full cabin reservation of 6. The oldest daughter wants her boyfriend to come meet up for the day and go to the Magic Kingdom with us.

If we already have fast passes scheduled, what’s the best way to incorporate the boyfriend into our plans? I know Ft Wilderness allows guests and we are staying for 4 nights. If we bring him in as guest, will anyone know if he stays the night?

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Hi Kristen,

Thanks for the question. Bringing someone at the last minute is never easy, which reminds me of a song. Come on sing along…

“It don’t come easy, you know it don’t come easy.”

Oh, boy does Dad sing just like Jim Morrison… (Not.)

Meeting him at the Magic Kingdom and having him spend the day sounds like fun. No problems there, but…

Adding him to the FastPasses is not going to happen if they are already scheduled. I imagine that all the FastPasses have been booked by now and you’re pretty much out of luck.

As to sneaking him into the cabin, there aren’t any cabin police that are going to say something to you for having an extra guest for the night.

Not a lot of bed space

I’m not sure exactly where’s he’s going to sleep. The cabins aren’t exactly spacious and while there are places for 6 people to sleep, 7 would be a stretch. He’ll probably have to sleep on the floor or 2 people will have to sleep in a bunk bed.

Dad’s Bottom Line

Kristen, it’s one of those things that’s doable, but it will be uncomfortable. Sorry I can’t be of more help.
