Can I buy Disney Tickets from work?

Can you stay on site, in a Disney hotel, but purchase your tickets from a different company?  I can get a corporate discount from my work, but we want to stay at a Disney hotel.

Dad’s big fat yes Answer

Boy am I glad you asked that question.  Dad’s answer is a big, fat yes!

You can buy your park passes outside Walt Disney World, and link them to your My Disney Experience account along with your hotel room reservation.  Depending on the type of ticket you get from a source outside Disney, whether it’s a paper print-out or a plastic card, look to find the code (a really long number) that you’ll enter into My Disney Experience to link that ticket to your MagicBand.  You’ll be scanning your MagicBand to enter the parks in no time!

Dad has a friend who is an incredibly convenient source for buying tickets outside Walt Disney World. Meet Patrick from the Official Ticket Center (OTC).  The Official Ticket Center is an Authorized Walt Disney World Ticket Seller.

The cool thing about what Patrick does is that his business is the only ticket broker that has direct access to the Disney ticketing office.  Wonder what that means?  They get to create full tickets right on the spot (not just vouchers).  If you’re looking for the best deal out there with a ton of convenience–the OTC office is the spot for you.  Also, did I mention it’s only five minutes away from WDW?

It doesn’t get better than this!

Oh, one quick thing. Your corporate discount will be fine, but always be sure to buy tickets from Authorized Ticket Dealers (like OTC.) There are lots of scams out there.

Dad’s Bottom Line

You do not have to buy tickets from Disney–you can most definitely purchase them elsewhere.  Once you link your tickets to your My Disney Experience account and assign them to your corresponding MagicBand(s), you will be all set and ready to go!
