Changes to the Menu at Whispering Canyon Café

Hey Yall! Yesterday I wrote about food choices at EPCOT’s International Food and Wine Festival this year. Today on Dad’s Facebook page he is discussing restaurants and posting pics of yummy food. In keeping with the food theme today I want to share with you some changes in the food menu at Whispering Canyon Café at Wilderness Lodge.

I was having dinner with Dad and Mrs. Mom last night, when I hit me that they are leaving for Palooza 2012 in 4 days. It is closer than I thought. During Palooza they are going to meet up with another family we are friends with and eat at Whispering Canyon Café. I hope they will bring back a review of the changes that have been made.

The breakfast menu has not changed at all. The only real change that has been made to breakfast is that the All You Care to Eat Skillet has been changed to a platter. I am sure Walt Disney World is just being health conscious and trying to sound healthier. I liked the idea of a challenge by letting me eat all that I can. I might not eat too much but The Man-Child can really put it away.

The only change to the lunch menu is the All You Care to Eat Skillet is totally been taking off the menu. A new menu item at lunch that looks wonderful is the Fried Fish and Country Chips. I hope it is just as good as the Fish and Chip guests can get over in EPCOT.

Changes to the dinner menu include no more entrée selections. Now guests just build their All You Care to Enjoy Family Platter. This allows guests to pick 3 meat dishes, and eat all the fresh vegetables, and get a dessert sampler for the low prince of $32.99 a person.

Like I said Dad and Mrs. Mom are planning a stop at Whispering Canyon Café during Palooza 2012 and I hope they bring back a great review of the new items and maybe some pictures. Let Dad’s friends at Pixie and Pirates take care of the reservation for Whispering Canyon Café for you next trip. You know you want to go so why wait?

Dad inserts a comment

Dad and Mrs. Mom are right now talking to the other family we were planning to visit the Cafe with. None of us are real happy with the new meal. We may just change up THE PLAN. We’ll keep you posted.
