“Hi, we’ve been to Disney World for 5 days several times for the past 6 years however this trip we are only going one day in between the beach. It is my sister in laws family’s first trip. I want to make the most out of Magic Kingdom. I can’t decide whether to go June 27 or July 1 or 2.

I’ve read Tuesday’s are the best day for Magic Kingdom as far as low crowd levels. However after seeing your July 4th info I’m worried that the crowds may have already begun on July 2? We are only in Florida June 27-July 2. Please help me decide. never been around July 4.”

This is one of those eenie, meenie, miney, mo things. Between those dates, I don’t think there will be a lot of difference in Magic Kingdom crowds. Yes, Tuesdays are typically the best day to visit the Magic Kingdom, but that’s not a hard and fast rule. It’s just a generalization.

I don’t expect a lot of difference between the three dates. They will all be moderate to heavy. Not crazy but busy.

If I were to rate the 3 dates on crowd levels for the Magic Kingdom I’d probably go July 1st, June 27 then July 2nd, but that’s just a guess. They will all be pretty close.

I follow TouringPlans

When I’m looking at daily park crowds I follow TouringPlans. They have the most complete and accurate day to day park predictions on what the crowds will be. They do show that July 2nd will be busy. I’m not totally sure I’d agree with their level 9 on the 2nd, but that’s what they are predicting.

Miss the Fireworks

OK, so it’s misleading to say you’ll miss the fireworks. The regular Happily Ever After fireworks show will be going on, but, you will just miss the special 4th of July fireworks show. Disney does the show on both July 3rd and 4th.

Destinations to Travel

Dad’s Bottom Line

Brittany, the bottom line is there is not a bad choice. You can do eenie, meenie, miney, mo and have as good a chance of picking the slowest day. But again, we’re not talking light to heavy. We’re talking a 5% difference in crowd levels between those 3 days. Busy moderate to low level heavy.

My guess is that June 1st will be the least busy.
