Rivers of Light is opening February 17. The much anticipated new nighttime show will finally open after an almost 10 month delay, having been announced and cancelled last spring. The 15 minute show will breathe life into the Discovery River after dark, and guests will be able to reserve dining packages and FastPass+ in order to secure a seating area. Happily Ever After is replacing Wishes May 12. The longstanding Magic Kingdom fireworks show is set to be replaced by a new nighttime spectacular which will include projections, lasers, fireworks and a new score! CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL STORY

 

Pandora is opening May 27 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Pandora- The World of Avatar is set to open on May 27th! Bioluminescent plants surround guests as you are submersed in this amazing world. There will be two Na’vi experiences that look incredible. The first is a water ride through the rainforest. The second sends guests soaring over Pandora on a Banshee. Star Wars Land is set to open in 2019. Bob Iger recently announced that Star Wars Land would open in 2019. This land will feature characters and attractions that will make guests feel as though they are on another planet. The main attraction will be a Millennium Falcon simulator. Although they didn’t give a specific date (and 2019 is 12 months long), Dad is speculating May 1, 2019 to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the theme park. CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL STORY

 

There’s a new VIP tour in town. There’s a new VIP tour coming to the Magic Kingdom. The 4-hour tour features a special Disney VIP tour guide, a chance to experience up to 10 family attractions, and a meeting with the big “cheese” himself. The tour is $199 (plus tax) and does not include the required theme park admission. It is offered on select days and is subject to availability.

 

Dining packages are now available for Garden Rocks at EPCOT. Dining packages are now available for the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. As part of the Garden Rocks concert series you can book a meal to get reserved seating for one of the concerts. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner packages are available for select dates. Special entry lines for Annual Passholders that were put in place for the busy holiday season have been held over until at least the spring with no end date, pointing to the possibility of this being a permanent AP perk.
