We will be at Walt Disney World for our honeymoon in November. We’re looking at doing a dessert party at one of the parks, but notice there are two dessert parties in the Magic Kingdom. One is the fireworks party with Plaza Garden viewing. The other is the Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrow Land Terrace. What’s the difference, and more importantly, which one is better?

That’s a really good question, Eddie. I had to look this one up. I knew about the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party. It’s been around for years. They have dessert buffet there at Tomorrow Land Terrace, and then you sit in the area and you watch the fireworks.

The Plaza Garden Party, it’s the same thing. It’s the same desserts. You go to Tomorrowland Terrace. You have your desserts. When it comes time to watch the fireworks, they take you down to a viewing area in front of the castle, down where the old FastPass areas used to be.

They have a section set aside for the Plaza Garden viewing. You won’t have chairs over there. You won’t have anywhere to sit. You can sit on the ground, you won’t have chairs to sit in.

That’s the big difference. Over at the Plaza Garden view, it’s a better view. You’re directly out in front of the castle, good sight lines. It’s a good place to watch the fireworks.

Tomorrowland Terrace isn’t bad, but it’s not quite as good. Plaza Garden, nowhere to sit, but a better view. Tomorrow Land Terrace, not quite as good a view, but chairs. So it’s one of those you just make the choice. The desserts and everything are the same.

Dad’s Bottom Line

I hope that helps. I hope that answers your questions. Thanks a lot, Eddie. Good luck on the honeymoon.
