Disney Dining Plan for Preferred Seating at Shows

“Hey there!

We have the deluxe dining plan for January 2019 and I have reservations at Tusker House for the Rivers of Light preferred seating dining package, at Hollywood and Vine for the Fantasmic! preferred seating package and at Tony’s for the Festival of Fantasy dining preferred seating package.

I want to know how many dining credits these meals will cost. I have received contradictory answers between 1 and 2 credits. The moms panel (in a search) said 1 but that was 2018. I asked via chat twice today and one person told me 1 and the other told me 2!

I want to get a firm answer as if they are all 2 credits that will eat up our plan quick and I need to switch some reservations around!! Thanks!!!”

Some are One, Some are Two

I think the confusion comes in because some of the Disney Dining Plan packages for the shows are one credit and some are two credits. It depends on the show and on the restaurant.

For example, all of the Candlelight Processional Dining Package restaurants are 2 credits. But that’s not true of all shows.

In fact, all of your choices, Tusker House, Tony’s Town Square and Hollywood and Vine are one credit for the Dining Package.

Typically, but not always, if a restaurant is one credit then it will be one credit for the Dining Package.

Destinations to Travel

Dad’s Bottom Line

You won’t be eating up those Disney Dining Plan credits as fast as you were afraid of. Enjoy.

Of course, as with all things Disney, this is subject to change at any time without any notice.

You are thinking of Rivers of Light at Tiffins not at Tusker House. Disney Dining Plans and Disney Deluxe Dining Plans require 2 table-service entitlements for Tiffins, and 1 table-service entitlement for Tusker House Restaurant. The Festival of the Lion King package at Tiffins also takes two credits.

The dining package for preferred seating at ROL requires 2 table service credits. I think all of the food and fireworks packages take 2 credits and appear as $$$ in the restaurant descrption.
