I am trying to find a good time to go to Disney without having to pull out of school. I see where Memorial Day weekend is crazy. How bad is it just following Memorial Day? Say if we went May 25 – 29 or May 26 – 30, 2015.
I think this is still in the Spring Discount plus we’d hit a little of a Star Wars weekend. Correct me please if I’m wrong, but I also think this will miss Gay Days. I just don’t want to spend all that $ and be miserable with crowds. Thanks for your site and advice!!

Dad’s book it today Answer
The end of May 2015 is one of the best times of the year to visit WDW. In fact, it’s so good Dad himself may try to sneak in that week.
Yes, the Memorial Day holiday looks really busy on the crowd calendar, but that’s only because we expect Disney to do another 24-hour event at the Magic Kingdom that day. That will bring all the locals (and a few of us crazy WDW nuts from out of town) in to celebrate for 24 hours. The Memorial Day holiday weekend is normally fairly slow crowd wise as holidays go.
If you do go later that week, you will miss the Gay Days festivities. Those start on June 4th in 2015.
I do recommend that you get on the horn today with our partners over at Desinations To Travel and get going on your reservation so you don’t get hit with the new prices that may come out any day (as of February 9, 2015).
If you book now, you’ll get a really cool Star Wars gifts Destinations to Travel is giving away. (I think I’d choose the laser cell.)
Dad’s Bottom Line
I think you’ve chosen just about the best time of the spring to visit WDW. In fact, I’ll probably see you there.
