We are planning our first trip to Walt Disney World and have researched and reviewed many restaurants and are finally ready to make some Advanced Dining Reservations!
While looking at menu’s I have noticed that the Disney World kids menu’s are not very diverse. My kids (8&6) are not picky and love to try new things. Do you think that we would be able to order child size portions off the regular menu? For example, we are eating at Sanaa. There is nothing African or Indian on the kids menu.
What are the chances the chef would be willing to make something child sized for my kids? Also, we are on the Disney Dining Plan. Thanks so much for your insight!!!!
Dad’s that might be a problem Answer
While Disney Chefs are usually very helpful, this one might be a problem. The Chefs at the Disney World Restaurants routinely deal with special requests. They might even accommodate yours. However …
Being on the Disney Dining Plan makes this a little more tricky. If you weren’t on the Dining Plan, the chef could charge you an adult price (with a little discount) for the special request. Being on the Dining Plan, you are pretty restricted to what you can order.
Then again, it’s Walt Disney World and Disney is famous for it’s customer service. This is not something we ever had to worry about. Our kids aren’t all that adventurous when it comes to food. (Wonder where they get that?)
Dad’s Bottom Line
Jenny, I’d suggest you give it a try. The only thing they can say is no.
