If you’ve always wanted to celebrate Oktoberfest in Germany, EPCOT offers the perfect – and authentic! – alternative in Biergarten Restaurant. Here, inside this table-service restaurant, you can celebrate Oktoberfest every day of the year, without paying for that long international flight. 

Inside the restaurant, diners share communal tables and dine on a traditional German feast, served buffet style. A live Polka band plays, getting you in the true Oktoberfest spirit, and there’s plenty of beer to go around. While the atmosphere is casual and fun, it’s also a great bang-for-your-buck option thanks to the all-you-care-to-enjoy approach.

You’ll find Biergarten in EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion inside the World Showcase, set towards the back of the area. It’s located right next to Sommerfest, the pavilion’s quick-service spot.

You can use your Disney Dining Plan credits at Biergarten Restaurant. Because this is a table-service restaurant, you’ll only be able to use the Disney Dining Plan (not the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan) here.

Biergarten will cost one table-service meal credit per person for lunch or dinner.

Advance Dining Reservations

Biergarten is a table-service restaurant, and it’s a highly popular one at that. As a result, you’ll definitely want to book an advance dining reservation (ADR) for lunch or dinner. 

These reservations can disappear fast, so it’s best to aim to book right when the 60-day window opens up (and keep looking if none are available!)

Is Biergarten Restaurant Kid-Friendly?

Technically, like all restaurants at Disney World, no one is going to bat an eye if you and your kids dine at Biergarten. However, this table-service restaurant with a buffet is themed around Oktoberfest, a holiday that’s centered around lively music, traditional German food, and plenty of beer – and that’s not exactly most kids’ vibes when it comes to entertainment or mealtime.

The atmosphere inside is a bit boisterous for kids, and while they might enjoy listening to the Polka band, it’s not exactly as kid-friendly as other lively destinations with dancing and performances. 

Seating may pose a challenge for families with little ones, too. Biergarten is designed to have diners share a meal at communal tables, which means you and the kids might get seated with strangers… strangers who may or may not be super keen on dining with children.

Additionally, the littlest diners and those with picky palates will have trouble finding something on the menu they like. Rotisserie chicken and potatoes are on the menu, but so too are traditional sausages, schnitzel, and sauerkraut – with no real staples other than macaroni and cheese that picky eaters can rely on.
