A new family experience has become available at the Walt Disney World Resort, as reported recently by the Disney Park’s Blog. Your “off the beaten path” tour begins at the Contemporary Resort on a pontoon boat where a guide takes you on a journey of Walt’s love of the outdoors.

Next, guests engage in Walt’s love of nature by looking for indigenous Florida wildlife. After docking, you will be greeted with a bonfire and camp-style breakfast including egg, cinnamon rolls, biscuits, and coffee, along with a few other offerings.
Once you have enjoyed your outdoor breakfast a horse drawn wagon will whisk you away for an archery lesson at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. You will get the chance to learn about Walt’s fascination with trains and discover how horses have played a role in Disney theme parks.
Currently you can participate in Walt’s Wilderness experience two days a week from 8am until 1pm. The cost is $109 + tax for ages 7 and up.
If you are looking for something different to do at the resorts and want to incorporate some interesting history, this might be a fun adventure!
