I will be at my favorite place again from May 4th through the 11th. I love Walt Disney World because there is always something new to do.
My visit this time will coincide with the Flower & Garden Show at EPCOT. I know that one can use Disney Dining Plan snack credits at the Food and Wine Festival. My question for you is, can I use DDP Snack Credits for anything at the Flower & Garden Show?
From what I am reading, there are going to be some yummy items served throughout the areas of the show, many of which appear to be in the cost range allowed as a DDP Snack. Hope that Dad knows the answer and that the answer is “YES!!!!!”
Some of the topiaries are just stunning

Dad’s Snack Attack Answer
The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is one of the biggest and most popular events at Walt Disney World, and it’s about to get even better with the addition of themed food and beverages. If that news wasn’t good enough, how about this: now you’ll have a new place to use those Disney Dining Plan credits – at snack stations throughout the World Showcase!
The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is a hit every year. It’s got presentations by HGTV celebrities, seminars for guest to attend, and beautiful gardens and topiaries throughout the park. Plus, you can see some of your favorite bands from the 70’s in the Flower Power concert series (you can check out Tommy Roe or Herman’s Hermits on the dates you’ll be visiting).
With lots of new offerings at this year’s festival, the folks at Disney hope to keep guest in the park enjoying the festival well into the evening (and the dinner hour!). There are going to be illuminated topiaries to show off the foliage at night, and 12 marketplace booths offering delicious tasting portions, much like at the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.
Each booth will serve food, alcoholic beverages, and non-alcoholic beverages. The booths are called Fruits by the Glass, Florida Fresh, Jardin de Fiestas, Lotus House, Bauernmarkt, The Smokehouse, Pineapple Promenade, Primavera Kitchen, Hanami, Taste of Marrakesh, L’Orangerie, and The Cottage. Sounds like quite the spread!
The themed booths will be paired with gardens where you can see plants growing and then taste them in the featured dishes. While you won’t be able to use meal credits at the booths, many of the featured items will be available for snack credits on the Disney Dining Plan, and you could certainly make a meal of munching your way around the World Showcase. Check the menu at each location to see which items count for a snack credit.
I have to say that eating our way around the world was one of our favorite things we did during The Palooza. We ended up at Epcot 6 times in 2 weeks just to try out something new. We had some wonderful bites and a couple that were a bit disappointing. We both can’t wait to try it again.
Dad’s Bottom Line
Catherine, I think you’re in for a real treat at this year’s Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. Enjoy your snack attack around the World Showcase, and be sure to let Dad know what your favorites were when you get home!
