Is Labor Day a good time to go to Walt Disney World?
by Kim (Mooresville)
“Does Labor Day effect low crowds at Walt Disney World? I’m trying to squeeze in as much as possible in as little time as possible for my graduating senior without missing school.
Thank you for all your hard work, I cannot tell you how it has helped.”

Kim, first, thank you for that. I appreciate it, we try to help, that’s what we want to do around here.
So, Labor Day crowds. Labor Day is one of the most interesting holidays of the year. It is probably the least busy Monday holiday, the one that always falls on Monday, the least busy Monday holiday of the whole year.
Veteran’s Day, since it moves around sometimes is a busier holiday when it falls on the weekends or when it falls on a Friday or Monday. Then it’s busier than Labor Day. But, as a general rule, Labor Day is the least busy Monday holiday.
What does that mean? It means you can expect light crowds, it’s a good time to go. You can expect those low crowd, low to moderate crowds.
If you’re going during a, when school is out period, Labor Day is probably the best time to go. There are probably a few days in late August that are less crowded but if you’re going on a holiday weekend, it’s the best one you could pick.
Dad’s Bottom Line
The bottom line is, yes Labor Day is a great time to go to Walt Disney.
