June Disney World crowds are hard to predict. June is the most diverse month of the year. The month start out with beautiful, calm quiet days. And then… (Here the ominous music playing in the background)
It’s coming… It’s dark… It’s, it’s, it’s…
“Summertime, Summertime, Sum, Sum Summertime…”
In June, schools across the country start to let out for Summer Vacation. June sees the crowds and temperatures start to creep up throughout the month – the closer you get to the end of the month, the worse the crowds will be.
Dad’s Crowd Calendar Disclaimer
This calendar is based on historical facts, as I know them today. The Walt Disney World Resort is an ever-changing environment and you might find things significantly different from below.
(There, Dad’s Mr. lawyer, are you happy?)
June used to be a time of big events to kick off the summer. But, sadly those have gone by the wayside.
There’s not much extra happening in June these days.
June Disney World Crowds
Here’s how the crowds work in June. The first week of June is usually the slowest of the month. Expect fairly light crowds all week.
Starting the second week in June, crowds will be light and build for the rest of the month until by the end of the month crowds are heavy to overwhelming. Weekdays will be lighter than weekends.
By the last week of the month summer is in full swing and the parks will be busy.

The Complete Crowd Picture
For a more in depth picture of the May Disney World Crowds, check out Touringplans.com where they literally wrote the book on Disney World crowds (The Unofficial Guide Walt Disney World). At Touringplans.com you can see what the crowds have been like at Disney World over the last 5+ years. You can see projected crowds at each park (even more in depth than Dad’s projections). You’ll see recommendations for which park to visit and which park to avoid.
The “Lines” app is a thing of beauty and it comes with every subscription. Lines shows you how long the line is at every ride in every park in real time. (It even works in the park. Disney hasn’t found a way to block it yet.)
Go over and grab a subscription to the site today. You won’t be sorry. Trust me.
Dad is always around to ask any question you might have about crowds, or rides or hotels. That’s because good Dads are helpful and kind and loving and … PERFECT!
Dad’s Bottom Line
Early June is a great time to be at Disney World weather wise and crowd wise. Summer crowds start to arrive as the month progresses.
