Coordinating a Disney Land and Sea Adventure

Ruidoso, NM

We are planning a Disney Land and Sea Adventure. What is the best way to coordinate this?

Hi David. I love doing Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line Land and Sea Adventures. In fact Mrs. Mom and I are doing one in 17 days. We can’t wait.

Old Disney Land and Sea Adventure

Coordinating the Disney World trip with a Disney Cruise is not hard, but it’s not as easy as it used to be. At one time Disney had a Land and Sea package where everything was coordinated all the way down to using the same room key for the whole trip. That went away several years ago. There’s been talk about bringing it back, but it hasn’t happened yet.

Basically, what you have to do is book the two trips separately and add transfers to your cruise reservation that get you from the hotel to the ship and to the airport. You can set those up where you start at the airport and go to the ship, or start at Disney World and end up at the airport.

Or you can even do Mrs. Mom and my favorite thing. Start at Disney World, go on a cruise and go back to Disney World. Our very own invention, a true Disney Land and Sea and Land Adventure.

Disney also has Magical Express that will take you to and from Disney World to the airport.

The transfers to the ship do cost extra. Depending on your family size it might cost less to rent a town car or limo. If your family has 4 or more people going in real style is pretty awesome.

Coordinating a Disney Land and Sea Adventure is not hard, but it can be a bit time consuming. That’s why I always recommend using a GOOD Disney Travel Agent like my friends at Destinations to Travel. They do this all the time. They know all the details of both Walt Disney World and the Disney Cruise Line. They can get it all set up for you. (Plus their services are free.)

Dad’s Bottom Line

A Disney Cruise is a great addition to a Walt Disney World vacation. Either before or after (or in between) the trip. I’d suggest doing it after if you can, just to have some relaxing time after your Disney World exhaustion.

Do get in touch with Destinations to Travel and let them help you coordinate your Disney Land and Sea Adventure.
