Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a great Disney World event. Kids of all ages can dress up in Halloween costumes and the fun begins.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is back at Magic Kingdom for 2026, bringing trick-or-treating, rare characters, exclusive entertainment, Halloween ride overlays, and plenty of spooky treats along with it.

The separately ticketed event takes place on select nights from August through October, giving families a chance to experience Magic Kingdom after hours with Halloween entertainment you won’t find during a regular park day. And while there’s a lot happening during the five-hour party, you don’t need to do everything to have a great night.

Here’s everything you need to know about Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2026 — plus a few tips for making the most of your limited party time.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2026 Dates and Details

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place on select nights from August 7 through October 31, 2026.

The 2026 dates are:

• August: 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, 30
• September: 1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, 29
• October: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31

The party officially runs from 7 PM to midnight, but your event ticket allows you to enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4 PM without purchasing a regular theme park ticket for that day.

Dad’s Guide Tip: Take advantage of that 4 PM entry! Those three extra hours are perfect for eating dinner, knocking out a few regular attractions, and getting your bearings before the exclusive party entertainment begins.

Pricing for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2026

Tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party cost $119 to $229 per person, plus tax, depending on the date. Annual Passholders and eligible Disney Vacation Club Members can save $10 per ticket on select event nights from August 7 through October 2.

Popular dates  (particularly those closer to Halloween) can and do sell out, so don’t count on buying your ticket once you arrive at Disney World.

Trick-or-Treating at Magic Kingdom

Yes, the kids can trick-or-treat at Disney World — and so can you.

There are more than a dozen trick-or-treat locations spread throughout Magic Kingdom, with Cast Members handing out candy from brands including M&M’s, Snickers, and Starburst. Complimentary treat bags are provided, although you can bring your own bag or bucket if you’d prefer.

And don’t feel like you need to hit every location. Candy is fun, but party time is expensive. Pick up treats as you encounter stations rather than spending the entire night zig-zagging across Magic Kingdom in search of them.

Characters at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Character meet-and-greets are one of the biggest reasons to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, particularly because you’ll find characters and combinations you won’t normally encounter during a day at Magic Kingdom.

For 2026, appearances include Jack Skellington and Sally, Mickey and Minnie together in their Halloween costumes, Winnie the Pooh dressed as a bumblebee, Ariel and Prince Eric, and Aladdin and Jasmine. Disney Villains can also make appearances throughout Magic Kingdom during the party.

If meeting a particularly popular character is a priority, make that one of the first things you do. Rare characters can command some of the longest waits of the entire event.

Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade

If you only watch one piece of entertainment during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, make it Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade.

The parade features Mickey, Minnie, Disney Villains, princesses, Haunted Mansion characters, and plenty of other familiar faces. Even better, the Headless Horseman traditionally makes his way along the parade route shortly before the procession begins.

The first parade takes place at 8:15 PM, an intentionally family-friendly time that makes it much easier to catch with younger kids.

Dad’s Guide Tip: If your kids can comfortably stay up later, the later parade is often the better choice. Use the earlier part of the party for characters and attractions, then grab a spot for the later performance.

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular

The Sanderson Sisters return to Cinderella Castle for the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular. Winifred, Mary, and Sarah are joined by Disney Villains including Hades, Cruella de Vil, Jafar, Dr. Facilier, and the Evil Queen for a stage show filled with music, dancing, and plenty of Hocus Pocus references.

There are typically multiple performances throughout the evening, giving you some flexibility when fitting the show into your plans.

Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular

You’ll also want to make time for Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, the party-exclusive fireworks show hosted by Jack Skellington.

The show combines fireworks, projections, lasers, and Disney characters as Zero leads Mickey and friends through a haunted house filled with everything from skeletons and spiderwebs to Ursula, the Queen of Hearts, and Oogie Boogie.

Unlike the parade and stage show, you only have one opportunity to see the fireworks each night, so plan the rest of your evening around them.

New Stitch, Lilo, and Angel Dance Party

There’s something new to check out in Tomorrowland for 2026.

Stitch has gotten into Lilo’s Costume Trunk and is hosting an ever-changing masquerade at the Rockettower Plaza Stage alongside Lilo and Angel. Each new accessory Stitch tries inspires a different party theme, so the experience can change throughout the evening.

This is an especially easy stop with younger kids since you don’t need to commit to a long show or wait in another character line — just stop by, dance for a while, and move on when everyone’s ready.

Cadaver Dans

The Cadaver Dans are also back for 2026, bringing their spooky spin on barbershop-style harmonies to the party.

They’re one of those easy-to-overlook pieces of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party entertainment, but they’re worth stopping for if you happen to encounter a performance during your evening.

Attractions During Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Many Magic Kingdom attractions remain open throughout the party, and waits can become considerably shorter as the night goes on. Even better, a couple of attractions get Halloween-specific enhancements you can’t experience during an ordinary Magic Kingdom day.

Space Mountain sends you through the attraction in complete darkness accompanied by spooky music, while Mad Tea Party gets special Halloween lighting effects.

Popular attractions scheduled to operate during the party include Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan’s Flight, Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain, and TRON Lightcycle / Run.

Dad’s Guide Tip: Don’t spend your entire party riding attractions you could experience on another Magic Kingdom day. Prioritize the Halloween-exclusive entertainment first, then take advantage of shorter waits later in the evening.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Food

Come hungry, because Magic Kingdom has an enormous lineup of Halloween food and drinks for 2026.

New party-exclusive options include the Headless Horseman Treat, Hades Cake Pop, Cruella Cookie Sandwich, Skull-icious Cake, and Doom Buggy Dumplings, while returning favorites include options like the Buffalo Chicken Hand Pie, Ursula Cone, and Beignets from Beyond.

There are dozens of seasonal items available throughout Magic Kingdom, including both party-exclusive dishes and Halloween treats available during regular park hours.

Rather than trying to eat your way through the entire menu, look it over before your trip and pick two or three things you actually want to try. Waiting in food lines can eat up party time surprisingly quickly.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Merchandise

Event-exclusive merchandise is available during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, including 2026 apparel, accessories, ears, drinkware, home décor, and pins. Annual Passholders also have access to exclusive Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party merchandise during event nights.

Like everything else at the party, merchandise can sell out. If there’s something you know you want, don’t automatically wait until midnight to buy it.

Is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Worth It?

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party isn’t cheap, particularly for a family. But you’re also getting an experience that’s substantially different from an ordinary evening at Magic Kingdom.

For families who love Halloween, characters, parades, and special Disney entertainment, there’s enough exclusive content here to make the party feel genuinely different from a regular park day. It’s especially worthwhile if you treat your party ticket as your Magic Kingdom admission for the day and enter at 4 PM rather than buying a separate daytime ticket.

The biggest mistake you can make is trying to do everything. Pick your must-dos before you arrive — whether that’s Boo-to-You, Jack and Sally, trick-or-treating, or Space Mountain in the dark — and consider everything else a bonus.

Five hours goes very quickly when you’re having a not-so-scary good time.
