“Hi Dad! I am planning to take my soon-to-be 4yr old daughter to WDW in September during Labor Day week. I plan on booking a room at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, but I’d really love to have a microwave in the room rather than having to use one in the common areas.
I’ve heard you can call and request one ahead of time but they are in short supply. However, I’ve read in other boards that people have brought their own. Is that something that would be acceptable? I know the more expensive villa rooms do have them, but I’m trying to keep my costs low. I’m so excited to take her!
Thanks for all your great tips!
Sure. No Worries
You can pretty much bring anything not illegal with you to Walt Disney World. Bringing a microwave would be fine. I’m not sure it’s something I’d bring, but if you need it and you’re worried about them not having one available, then yes, bring it along.
One thing I would recommend is that you get in touch with our partners at Destinations to Travel and let them help with the trip. They can help securing the microwave and lots of other great stuff.
Give them a shout.
Dad’s Bottom Line
I think you’ll be alright on the microwave thing, but it never hurts to be sure. Do get in touch with Destinations to Travel. They will help with everything from microwaves to FastPasses and even dining reservations.
